A jewel-toned contemporary still life by Nancy Chaboun — "Lady Apples" — oil on linen, signed verso, depicting four small lady apples arranged in a horizontal row across a softened gradient ground, each fruit rendered with the kind of patient observation and warm reflected light that defines Chaboun's still life practice. The original Meyer Gallery (Scottsdale) inventory label is intact on the back: "Nancy Chaboun / LADY APPLES / 9 x 18 / Oil / $1300 / Meyer Gallery."

Chaboun (American, b. 1954) is an Arizona-based contemporary realist who studied at Arizona State University and the Instituto Allende in San Miguel de Allende, and has painted full-time since 1991. She teaches at the Scottsdale Artists' School and shows regularly through Larsen Gallery, Meyer Gallery, and Broadmoor Galleries. Her small still lifes are prized by collectors specifically because they distill the alla-prima tradition — Sorolla, Sargent, and the contemporary Scottsdale realist circle — into intimate, jewel-like statements.

The custom frame is a beautifully made Montgomery Frames (Tempe, AZ) cork-textured gilt with a fluted profile and a slim gilt inner lip — the kind of high-end gallery framing that often costs $300–$500 on its own. Total framed presentation is excellent: clean, gallery-ready, no condition issues.

A perfect small painting for a kitchen sight line, a dining alcove, the wall behind a coffee bar, a bookshelf ledge, or a powder room. The horizontal format reads beautifully over a console, a chair rail, or as part of a curated gallery wall.

Dimensions: 17.75"H x 27"W x 2.25"D framed (canvas approx 9 x 18, sight 17.5 x 8.25).
