Below, a vertically slatted single door with a hand-forged iron ring pull opens to reveal interior storage — a construction style typical of Spanish Colonial cabinetry across the Americas, where ventilated panels protected goods in the climate.

Solid hardwood throughout — likely Spanish cedar (cedro) or caoba (Mexican mahogany), prized in Latin American carved furniture for the way it takes detail and holds polychrome pigment. Stepped molded top, simple block feet, mortise-and-tenon joinery visible at the corners. The carved drawer panel is the showpiece: every leaf, scroll, and bead has been hand-cut and hand-painted, with no two segments quite alike — the unmistakable signature of human hand work, not factory production.
