Michael Taylor Cast Stone Pedestal Center Table, Hexagonal Top, Antiqued

A signature cast stone pedestal table by Michael Taylor — the design vocabulary that made Taylor (1927–1986) the most influential American interior designer of the postwar West Coast and earned him the title "Lion of California Design." Taylor's "California Look" was built on monumentality, raw natural materials, and a confident pared-back palette: oversized linen, raw woods, and — the calling card here — massive antiqued cast stone.

The piece is a single classical pedestal column — wide stepped plinth, gently flared shaft, generous flared capital — supporting an elongated hexagonal top.
