A vintage 1980s solid brass 6-light pendant chandelier with vertically-suspended ribbed clear glass cylinder shades — a substantial, heavy, professionally-made fixture. Six radial arms cantilevered from a central brass column, each cradling a clear glass cylinder shade open at the bottom for the warm glow of a clear Edison-style bulb. The brass has aged into the warm matte-bronze patina that distinguishes period fixture work from any contemporary reproduction. The geometry is rigorous: arms swept up and out in a precise star, shades hung dead-vertical, canopy and chain cleanly proportioned.

The aesthetic is squarely in the Italian mid-century lighting conversation — the same designer language as Sciolari, Stilnovo, and Sarfatti / Arteluce — where brass becomes the sculptural material and glass is the gentle diffuser, not the spectacle.

Attribution evidence. This fixture is UL-listed for US installation — the original Underwriters' Laboratories label is intact on the underside of the canopy ("Underwriters' Laboratories Inc. — Listed Electric Fixture — Issue No. C-201,474 — Printed in U.S.A."). UL listing means the fixture was either US-manufactured or US-importer-relisted for the American market — typical for designer Italian fixtures sold through American distributors of the period (e.g., Lightolier, George Kovacs, Karl Springer, Ron Rezek, plus smaller Bay Area and East Coast designer lighting importers). Adjacent to the UL label, a clearly visible square ghost outline on the brass shows where a second label was once affixed and has since been peeled or cleaned away — almost certainly the maker's or distributor's branded label, removed at some point in the fixture's life. The combination (period brass construction + UL listing + maker-label ghost in the right position) is honest evidence of legitimate designer-line production rather than a generic or unmarked piece.
