About Unique Art Glass and Metal Company. The piece. The dome-form shade is composed of hundreds of pieces of carefully hand-selected art glass — orange and pale-yellow daisy and apple-blossom flowers with red centers, set among deep green spear-shaped leaves and finished with a leaded sawtooth bottom border. The glass selection is the giveaway of serious period studio work: textured, mottled, opalescent, and rippled glass intermixed with smooth pieces, each chosen for the way it catches and refracts the light from the four interior bulbs.
