Set of 8 Spectacular Antique 1830s Chippendale Mahogany Dining Chairs (6+2)

A handsome set of eight antique solid mahogany dining chairs in the classic Chippendale style, dating to circa 1830. This distinguished suite comprises two armchairs and six side chairs and was sourced and sold by the iconic Antonio's Antiques of San Francisco.

Crafted from richly figured mahogany with a beautiful warm tone and deep patina, the chairs retain their original polished finish. The backs feature elegant pierced fretwork splats in a classic Chippendale pattern, framed by shaped crest rails and gently tapering uprights. The legs are double-stretchered for added strength and stability, a detail consistent with quality early 19th-century construction.

All chairs have drop-in seats newly upholstered in a refined light herringbone fabric, complementing the warmth of the mahogany while maintaining a traditional aesthetic.
